    Oops, Schwarzenegger Appoints Special Interests

    February 3, 2005
    Source: www.ArnoldWatch.org
    --------------------------------

A web site devoted to keeping an eye on the Governor reports that Arnold has been busy giving jobs to special interest representatives. (The site claims to be non-partisan, and did a similar job of keeping tabs on Governor Gray Davis when he was in power.)

The site lists six positions that have been filled by special interests:

    1) Deputy Chief of Staff, Garrett Ashley
    2) Deputy Chief of Staff, External Affairs, Cassandra Pye
    3) Food and Agricultural Secretary A.G. Kawamura
    4) Undersecretary at the California Environmental Protection Agency, James Branham
    5) Legislative Secretary, Richard Costigan
    6) Chief of Staff, Patricia Clarey

The site lists the work history and/or monetary contributions that are associated with their appointments.
