  • Is S.D. Mayor the New 'Go-To' Guy for Future of WC?

    Dan Walters, veteran political columnist for the Sacramento Bee, thinks we might be looking to the current San Diego Mayor, Jerry Sanders, as the next contender for governor after Arnold leaves (assuming the almost universally-held belief that the governor will be re-elected next month).

    Though politics being politics (read: who knows what the heck will be by 2010), this begs the question: Should we be watching Mayor Sanders' positions on labor issues more closely? Maybe even buttering him up a bit in anticipation?

    Watch for both sides of the workers' comp. lobby begin paying more attention to Mr. Sanders over the coming years... It's never too soon to start preparing...
