Just days after being sworn into office, newly-elected Oakland Democrat Sandré Swanson has just been appointed chair of the powerful Assembly Committee on Labor and Employment by Assembly Speaker Fabian Nuñez.
In a statement issued by his office, the Assemblyman included this promise: "One of our most important tasks is to revisit the recent workers' compensation reforms and ensure that the promises to injured workers are being met."
