Largest ADA Case Ever Now Certified as Class-Action Against UPS
Alleging violations of the "reasonable accommodations" section of the Americans with Disabilities Act, three men sued UPS in 2004 claiming that they weren't permitted to return to work at all unless they had NO medical restrictions whatsoever.
Now, the case has been granted class action status which means that between 30,000 to 50,000 UPS workers across the country are part of the case, making this the biggest claim ever filed under the ADA.
No damagnes are specified in the lawsuit.
UPS, the largest package delivery company in the world, has more than 300,000 employees in over 1,500 places around the country.
