Editorial:   State Fund Audits Didn't Go Far Enough

Unless you've been visiting another planet this past year, you've no doubt heard a tune or two of the State Fund Blues. [Just in case you haven't, a good review can be found from Capitol Weekly by CLICKING HERE.]

From conflict of interest charges to multiple investigations by the Department of Insurance, the CHP and the state legislature, nothing's gone right - so it seems - for the beleaguered quasi-state agency. Already, we've seen both structural and personnel changes, as well as a bill currently before the Senate Banking, Finance and Insurance Committee which would change the Fund's entire governing set-up.

Well, this editorial from the well-regarded Sacramento Bee asserts that the examination of State Fund by the Department of Insurance didn't go far enough!
