Threats Facing WC Carriers Nationally in 2008
Keith Pearsall is president of Business Insurers of the Carolinas, a member of the Institute of WorkComp Professionals.
He's written an article outlining problems and issues that employers and carriers should be concerned about in 2008 regarding cost-containment of workers' compensation systems nationwide.
Some of this year's more troubling issues, according to Mr. Persall, include the ever-increasing types of (expensive) medical treatments becoming available, probable premium rate hikes, more older workers getting injured and drug use.
