More Specifics on WCJ Proposed Ethics Changes

As we reported late last year, the DWC has proposed changes to the ethics regulations regarding Workers' Compensation Judges (to read that, CLICK HERE).

In anticipation of last month's hearing on these changes, the California Workers' Compensation Institute, a group made up of insurance companies and administrators, filed a policy letter with the DWC outlining its own proposals to these ethics rules.

Among the proposals is a more precise definition of what a "gift" is (to permit judges some latitude where warranted) and strengthening the disqualification grounds for a judge from a particular matter.
