MPN Use Increasing Share of Total WC Medical Treatment

A new study finds that medical provider networks are gaining higher and higher shares of total workers' compensation medical treatment, especially during the critical early stages of a claim.

Between 2002 and 2007 about one million claims were studied. The results show that by 2004 the rates for MPN care rose from one-third to one-half of all treatment sought and by 2006 had risen to 63%.
