News Flash: Vast Majority of WC Claims Legit!
A major private investigation firm, L&W Investigations, with offices in California and 22 other states, has released a report confirming that, contrary to the general public's perception, the vast majority of workers' compensation claims nationwide are legitimate.
The company, which specializes in insurance fraud claims, says that roughly 80% of all filed claims are genuine. The firm did however list "red flags" to look for when questioning the legitimacy of a claim, including a claimant who's filed multiple claims or is having financial or domestic problems.
