Bill Giving Employers Access to WC Med Records Dies

SB 1005 would have removed the prohibitions banning carriers from disclosing medical information about specific claims to the employer when issues of non-insurability arose.
The bill missed its January 31st deadline to get through the Senate and is thus dead in the water.
Needless to say, privacy advocates were not saddened by the demise of this bill... and hope it stays dead.
