DWC Sets Meeting to Discuss Bulk Electronic EAMS Filing

The Division of Workers' Compensation will host a public meeting to discuss the creation of a mechanism to allow bulk filing into the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS).

"We have over 200 offices in the EAMS e-Forms trial, which means many hundreds of individual users are currently filing electronically over the Web," said DWC Acting Administrative Director Carrie Nevans. "We are now ready to create an additional filing method for EAMS, which will provide more seamless filing for those who are already fully electronic."

External users, especially those with expertise in the creation of electronic data transmission systems, are invited to attend this meeting to discuss the potential mechanisms for bulk electronic filing.

The meeting will be held next week:

Monday, Jan. 26, 2009
10 a.m. to noon

1515 Clay Street
Training room one, second floor
Oakland, CA 94612

This is the first meeting in what is planned to be a series of interactive sessions on this topic.

Those planning to attend the meeting should RSVP to eams@dir.ca.gov no later than January 21st.

Please put "bulk filing meeting" in the subject line of the RSVP.
