Bill Mandating Audit for State Fund Passes Legislature, Up to Governor Now   AB 1447 formally makes State Compensation Insurance Fund a "state agency" for purposes of being within the purview of the Bureau of State Audits. Last week, the bill -- sponsored by Assemblyman John A. Perez (D-Los Angeles) -- passed both houses and is now on its way for review, and almost certain signature, by the Governor (who in recent months has become no fan of SCIF).
