We've all known workers who were sick because of exposure to various things at work but who couldn't "prove" it because the science was not quite there.

Well, this article in the New York Times presents just such a situation. It illustrates the frustration and how workers fall through the cracks when their doctors just don't have enough to say the work "caused" the illness... even though everyone knows it likely did.
