State Worker's Union Files Reply
to Governor's Furlough Appeal

We've been reporting on the ongoing fight between the Governor and workers at State Compensation Insurance Fund over the mandatory furloughs ordered for all state workers earlier this year.

So far, the SCIF workers have won all rounds in the fight, although the Governor's office has appealed those decisions.

Now, the union representing the legal employees working for the agency - CASE (California Attorneys, Administrative Law Judges and Hearing Officers in State Employment) - has filed a response to the Governor's argument that state employees should be subject to his furlough order even if funded with money outside the General Fund.
