Richard Balind is a very experienced personal injury attorney who is passionate about helping his clients obtain the maximum financial recovery they are entitled to. Richard has devoted nearly his entire eleven year legal career to helping hundreds of personal injury victims through all stages of their claims from negotiating with insurance companies to litigating cases in both State and Federal Courts. Taking over one hundred very difficult and complex liability and medical issues to trial and arbitration, he has secured millions of dollars for his clients with a success rate of nearly 95%. Always ready to listen to the client about the concerns and questions they may have about their case, his philosophy is simple; a personal injury claim is not just a file, it is a person that needs someone to stand up for them. You can rest assured that your case is getting the attention it deserves and you have someone fighting for your rights.
Before becoming an attorney, Richard worked in construction while attending Purdue University, and then attended DePaul Law School. Richard’s passion for helping those in need led him to volunteer at Chicago Volunteer Legal Services soon after law school graduation where he appeared in court giving a voice to children who were the subject of custody disputes. He then volunteered at Cabrini Green Legal Aid where he helped clients remove old felony convictions from their records so they could find gainful employment and get their lives back on track. At Cabrini Green Legal Aid he was chosen the volunteer of the year in 2005.
When Richard is not advocating on behalf of his clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and dog. Richard loves the outdoors and enjoys fly fishing, hiking, camping, and bike riding.
